Simple one. Can I use Migration Assistant to go FROM Lion to Snow Leopard? Because I've tried it and it ant working for me.

No. Erase and format the drive using the Snow Leopard disc. If you thought you may have to go back, should have cloned Snow Leopard to an external drive.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
