MobileMe Sync Problem

Although both of my Macs (running 10.6.8) & my iPad2 (running 4.3.5) have "syncing" turned on in my MobileMe account, the iPad2 will not sync when new entries in either Address Book & iCal are added on one of my Macs. However, if I add a new entry on my iPad2, it will sync with both of the Macs.
The preferences on my Macs (System Preferences > MobileMe > Sync) & on my iPad2 (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts > Me.Com) are properly configured. However, I have noticed one thing: on my Mac, if I navigate to System Preferences > MobileMe > Sync > Advanced, my iPad2 is not listed under "The following computers are not being synchronized using this MobileMe account". Unless I am incorrect. this suggests to me that my Macs are not recognizing my iPad2 as a device that needs to be synced.
