i have tiger 10.4.11 on a g5 and yesterday downloaded the new version of skype for mac without realising it would not run on my machine. this seemed to kill my old skype too. this morning my machine would not respond and came up with the dreaded ' you need to restart your machine' message, i did this 10 times to no avail. i tried loading the apple supplied hardware test disc but it would not run and is still in the drive. out of desperation after trawling around i have gone into command mode to run repairpermissions. my machine has been doing something for 3 hours and deos not appear to be finished - i am starting to get worried. any advice out there? thx
QUOTE Thanks
