hello everyone

Having a load of trouble trying to start my imac.

i have a flashing file which turns to a globe after a while .. and the mac doesnt start!
it did a few weeks back but now nothing other than this happens.

i've tried to re-install snow leopard but i've had no luck as it freezes at 58 mins every time i try or if i do it from startup when it says select a harddrive etc there is no option for the mac HD. & imac wont always read the disk and makes a weird noise.

obviously this is a disk problem but i have no clue how to solve it as the computer wont start!

thank you <3

is my mac bust or is it fixable?
QUOTE Thanks

Have you started up from your computer's disks and run "repair disk" from Disk Utility?
QUOTE Thanks
