My friend, that unfortunately have a physical disability, is in trouble with the new feature of Lion: the horizontal scroll of web pages in Safari. Using magic mouse, now moving the finger left and right the page "scroll" horizontally, and this cause usability problems to my friend.
I don't be able to find the option to disable this feature. Can you help me, please? Thanks. |

I will "assume" you are talking about the action that moves forward and backward between pages in Safari - the same as using the arrow keys on the menu?
It only does that when using two fingers. If your friend is unable to keep from placing 2 fingers on the trackpad you can disable the function in: System Preferences - Trackpad - More Gestures uncheck 'Swipe between pages'. You might also want to have a look at each one of the gestures on all of those tabs - there is a video showing how each one is used. I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. Place your vote for our Member of the Month |
