Hey everyone I have a few questions that I'm hoping you guys can help me out with. With apple new release of IOS Lion and IOS5 with iCloud I want to make sure my current setup will support these features.

I currently run a macbook pro 10.5.8 with 2gb. I believe this is Leopard? but I could be wrong. In order to be able to use iCloud when it releases do I need to to upgrade to Snow Leopard then Lion? Is this even the right step, I'm a little new to the software upgrades. Or would I be able to run iCloud with just snow leopard.

Thanks and any additional info that I haven't asked but you feel is relevant would be greatly appreciated.

We need to know which model MacBook Pro you have, in order to determine if it can be upgraded to Lion.

To use iCloud, you need iTunes 10.4 or later. iTunes 10.4 requires Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) or later. So, you already meet the minimum requirements to use it.

You bought a computer in 2008...and still don't know what model it is??? But that's not really important...you said that you bought it in 2008 (I'm assuming new)...and that's new enough to answer my question.

If you want to upgrade to Lion (OS 10.7)...then you need to upgrade to OS 10.6 first (update to OS 10.6.8 via software update)...then download & install Lion.

HTH,
