*This is my first post here. If this is not the right place to post this thread, please let me know.
I'm having problems with inputting Korean into the Youtube search box. It works fine most of the time (I press command-space to change input keyboard, then type) but sometimes when I try to type in Korean I see a separate box at the bottom of my screen taking all of my input. It looks like the box 'holds' my input. Then there is no way for me to insert that into the actual search box. All other inputs work (other programs, mac, ms office, etc.) but it's just Youtube search that's the problem. Plus, it comes and goes, which is why I've delayed asking for help. Has anybody had similar problems? Thanks. |

We use Korean (Hangul) input quite a bit for some documents we have and have had no difficulty with either Word or Powerpoint. It also works quite well for Korean email and some Korean only web sites that accept input like log in and search entries. Never tried it with Youtube. I'm assuming you're referring to the US Youtube site and not a Korean one?
Also, how about telling us which browser you're using and what version of OS X you're running? |

Here is what happens... screenshot: Screen shot 2011-07-30 at 11.24.43 PM.png As you can see, there is a line that appears at the very bottom of the screen that intercepts the Korean input. Please help! Thanks. |

I'll test it on our system tomorrow when I can get one of our Korean speaking members to do the writing. It looks though like it's not because of the switching of the language but the YouTube site which is causing it. It could also be a Safari glitch. In the meantime if you have another browser handy like Firefox, try again.
