Hello all,

Long time reader and 1st time post!

I recently purchased a 2011 Macbook Pro. I wished to restore my system from my previous Macbook Pro to this new one (both running Snow Leopard). However when I try to restore my system through the utilities option it says that I must restore to the computer that was the source of the save. I was curious if there is a way to restore your system to a different Mac, or do I just use the Migration Assistant?

Thanks for any and all help.

Use the Migration Assistant. This is exactly what it is for.
