For some time now almost each time I start up my MacBook Pro (2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) under Snow Leopard, iCal freezes.
The day view is displayed but I can do nothing with it, not move a day forward, add or delete anything until I right click on the icon in the Dock and then quit. After that when I restart iCal it works normally. Having found this "fix" I can live with it but does anyone have any ideas to stop it freezing on startup please? Thanks - Garoolgan |

Is iCal set up as a start up item? From your description, that is my assumption. You could try removing it from the start up items in System Preferences, then see if it behaves when you start it from the Dock or wherever.
iCal does have a plist file, but I'm not sure what the effects of replacing it would be. |
