Hello all,
I have been scripting in applescript for a while and have developed several applications for my University. However, Lion seems to handle kinit differently through applescript. Please let me know if this is the wrong place to post this information. In snow leopard and below, Code:
do shell script "kinit " & principal However, the same command in Lion does not prompt for a password, it just gives you an error that looks like the terminal version of the password prompt. However, there is no text box to type in a password and the script just closes. Users must authenticate to our server using kerberos before they can use the script. From what I have read, it looks like Lion moved from MIT to Heimdal Kerberos. It also changed the way that the Ticket Viewer operates. I am not sure if that is what is causing the problem. Does anyone have a work around or can point me in the right direction? All I need is for it to ask for a password instead of closing itself out. Thanks! |
