Fail - harddisk or dvd?

I got my new 8 gb ram and my 500gb hybrid seagate momentus xt home yesterday, and now I have put both into my macbook pro. My Hybrid HDD was formatted as a mac os x extended journaled, and I began the installation. After 4 minutes the installation stopped; it wouldn't go further with the installation. "Installation was stopped cause missed supportarchives". Do you know why this is shown on my screen? Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
