bootable dvd

Hi folks
New to the forum so correct me if i do something wrong.
downloaded and installed lion no problems except i cannot find the lion icon in applications folder as i need to make a bootable dvd. I have an early 2008 Macbook Pro. Anybody an suggestions

The installer wipes out the installation folder once Lion has been installed. The time to make a bootable DVD or flash drive is prior to the installation of Lion.

Download Lion again from the App store and then make a bootable DVD or flash drive as per instructions.
