Good day all,

Just received my MacBook Pro. Switched it on for the initial setup and it is in French (as bought it from France)

Never been used before, all boxed with CDs.

Can anyone help how I can change this setup to English (UK)?

On the first prompt clicked "Canada" hoping the language would change to English but to no avail!

Thanks in advance.

You didn't mention which OS version your MacBook Pro is running (I'm assuming a later version of OS 10.6). Go to "System Preferences" (under the Apple Menu)...4th item down.

Then in the "Personal" section (top most section) of "System Preferences" click on "Language & Text". Then change to the language you want.

Since everything will be in French...this may complicate things a bit. But if you speak/read French...no problems. Or if you already changed it to "Canada" (assuming you speak "Canada")...that should make things much easier.

HTH,
