If you have been having problems with the Up To Date program as of this morning, your retailer may have not marked your Mac's resale date correctly, I had this problem and called apple, turns out Best Buy marked the sale date on my MBP as January 24th. Yes, Before it came out. Give them a call and they will fix it for you and you will just have to wait a few mins for it to work again.

I also was having a spot of trouble, but I just waited about 5 minutes and was allowed entry into the program. My MBPs serial number was said to be invalid, even though it was copy and pasted from System Profiler. All worked very smoothly after signing up for the program.

Note: I moved this thread from our "off topic" forum, since we do have a forum specific to OS X - Operating System discussion.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Technically not relevant to the OS you know.
It's to the download program, your retailer and the apple site.

It is relevant to the OS since it's discussing the installation of Lion. The Lounge is our off topic discussion forum and should not be used for topics which have a specific designated forum.

Actually it's a lot closer to the acquiring of lion, as this process could be done even on a PC.

We are talking about the OS X operating system, are we not? Whether it's acquiring it, installing it, poking it, prodding it, disassembling it, commenting on it, criticizing it, it's still discussion related to the Operating System known as OS X.

Capisce?
