Hello Mac Friends,

I have a 2006 MacBook with OSX 10.4.11.

I am having issues with opening the following apps:
- Adobe Acrobat
- iTunes
- Garmin Training Center
- Safari (I normally don't use Safari, but it won't open. I use FFox)

What happens:
When I clock on the icon on my dock or from the applications folder, the icon will appear for about 1 second, perhaps bounce once, and then disappear or stop bouncing/no arrow to indicate it is open.

She runs fine otherwise. Not sure what to do.

Thank you

** I have deleted and reinstalled all of these apps to no avail.

Use one of the 3 methods here to Repair your hard drive:
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck

Pop in your Tiger disk, reboot and hold down "C" after the chime. Go into Utilities in the Menu Bar, Disk utility and run Repair Disk from there and see what is reported as to the state of your hard drive.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
