Hi everyone. My name is Pat and I am new to the forum and new to Mac's. I have a been a long time Intel user for many years. First Mac I have owned.
I think I have a simple question that has probably been worked over so a simple yes no is probably in order. I purchased the MBP 13 inch machine with the 2.7 GHz I7 processor.
Is is necessary to use a third party controller to manage the fan speed on this unit? Will doing so (REALLY) extend the life of the computer components?

I wouldn't bother to install a third party controller. Your mac will take care of itself. It will shut off if it gets too hot.Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
