Hey guys,

I was jsut wondering, the new MB Pro's are supposed to be pretty fast when emptying large files securely, it still seems as though this problem exists. it takes forever to delete files of my MAC once they enter thetrash can. how do I disable the Empty Secure, so that it empties normally? The way it is supposed to?

And is that going to improve the deleting facility on the MAC?

Finder - Preferences - Advanced - uncheck Empty Trash Securely

The speed of emptying trash securely is going to be more related to the write speed of your hard drive than anything else.

(and btw, it's Mac - short for Macintosh, not MAC)

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
