alright guys,

i have a macbook pro, late 2010 model, 15". it has been running ok until about 1 month ago, when sometimes when watching youtube videos (with the sound output coming from the internal built-in speakers of the computer), the video would lag and i would not be able to hear anything for a while. so then through system preferences under sound>output it was switching from internal speakers to headphones randomly, when i did not have any headphones plugged in. weird. do any of you know how to help me with this?

thanks,
shai

The small switch inside of the jack may be sticking or intermittent so that sometimes it "switches" to the internal speakers and other times the headphones. You can try using a strong toothpick to wiggle inside of the jack. That may or may not cure it. If it continues, take it to Apple and have them check it out.
