Os x 10.5.8

I am a little new to the IMac world, I have a IMac with OS X 10.5.8 on it. I also have a External HD that is NTFS formatted. I have seen the Mounter software out there for IMac OS X 10.6.? or later. Do they have a piece of software that you can mount a NTFS drive on OS X 10.5.8, i cant write to it for backups, also I inherited this IMac (Love It) and wondering can the OS can be updated to another version or is this it for this IMac? Thanks D.

You haven't told us enough to know which iMac you have. Go to Blue Apple (top left), about this Mac, More Info and tell us more details from there.

To use NTFS on OS X, one option is:
Download NTFS-3G for Mac - Read-write NTFS filesystem driver. MacUpdate.com
