Hello,
I'm new to Mac Forum, so i apologise if this is in the wrong category ![]() I bought a iMac this Feb gone and am still learning. I was a PC user before and had never used a mac til that day. So i'm still a little slow ![]() Anyway, i am trying to burn a mkv movie to a DVD to be able to watch on a DVD player. Now before everyone states that this question has been asked a billion times over, i am still having no luck :/ I have been googling this topic for days now with no result ![]() The movie is blue-ray and i don't want to loose quality when converting. Also the movie file is about 4gig. So my question is; which program will convert / burn a mkv blueray movie to a DVD without losing quality? Thanks ♥ PS: i am willing to buy software (if it's a good price and universal to other tasks) PPS: I already tried Handbrake, iskysoft, VisualHub and VCL Player and failed miserably. So if anyone has links for instructions using one of those programs, that would help! |

Blu-Ray movies are MUCH bigger than 4 GB. More like 40 GB. What you appear to have is a rip of a Blu-Ray movie that has been compressed to save space. That is a quality-losing process as it is. You cannot simply make it smaller still to fit on a DVD without losing yet more quality. Besides which, it's a pretty fair bet that this is a pirated movie you are talking about, and discussions surrounding those is off-limits here.
Standing request for all troubleshooting: Please provide your Mac model/year and OS version. Also advise us if you have used or installed any antivirus, security, or "cleaning" software on your Mac. If you have installed MacKeeper in particular, you are hereby advised to uninstall it. --------- If all else fails to fix your problem, read this tip. |
