    Switching users without quitting apps
I'm a recent switcher and so new to Mac OS etc, and I searched for this but couldn't find anything, but is it possible to switch users without quitting all the applications each time, as you can in Windows?

    cheers

Yes, it's called Fast User Switching and can be turned on in the Accounts preference pane in System Preferences.
