I'm having trouble setting up my mail on my iMac - I'm trying to set up my AOL account first, and im typing in the correct username and password and it keeps forcing me to try and set it up manually - any suggestions?

The Mail application needs information such as your password, the POP3 and SMTP addresses before it can access your AOL account.

You can get that information from AOL. Access their customer service page and setup information. They may also have optional directions on how to set AOL up with Apple Mail.
