I just moved to a new computer so I copied all of my iTunes Music folder over to my new computer. But the permissions are totally messed up it seems. I have access to a few folders, but many of the albums and songs aren't viewable by me. I am administrator, but I don't want to use Get Info on every single song on my computer! Another note is that the "Apply to Enclosed Items" is grayed out, and therefore I can't use.
Is there another way around this? Because I really would like to listen to my music w/o having to go to each song individually and change the rights. HELP!! |

Create a new folder in your home directory. Copy the iTunes folders there, temporarily is fine. Once copied the apply to enclosed items should be available. If they are on an external drive try the ignore permissions on this volume option.
or,.... Log in as root to solve your issue. |
