The black box of doc death

I wrote some docs when I was using 10.4

I got a new Mac Mini with 10.6.7

The icons of the docs created on 10.4 now appear as black boxes with "exec" printed on them in green.

I cannot open these icons. I have tried various apps.

Anyone seen these or know how to open them?

What kind of documents are you referring to? Which application created them and where are they now located" In other words, did you copy them to the Mini?

They are word processor docs mainly created in Nisus. They are on the desktop and in various folders on the HD. Yes, I copied them to the Mini.

Don't know anything about it, but, if you're not going to purchase Nisus, guess I'd download their trial version to open 'em up and save 'em back to another format if possible.

Or see if OO will open them.
