Changing The Background To My Finder Troubles

Where there is supposed to be a list of background options: White, color, picture, etc there isn't a backgrounds option available? I Added screen shots along with this post-of what I'm talking about below. I would greatly appreciate any help.  I'm currently running 10.6.6, 2.8GHz Intel core 2 Duo (I’m not sure if knowing this will make a difference but it couldn't hurt). Thank you

Thanks for replying, unfortunately the link you provided is about G5 cooling systems, I couldn't find anything related on that page. |

HAHA! I'm so sorry, I didn't see your attachment. I tried it in icon view and it worked. I don't normally use it- Which is probably why I was having such a hard time. Thanks for everything.
