Cannot connect to certain websites

hi , been getting both on fire fox and safari that i cannot connect to certain sites, even apple.com, very random and frustrating .

I updated to FF4 last week and this started a day later , took it apple store and folloed advice to re install SL which ive done, but same issue .

any pointers?

Do you have any add-ons/firewalls/etc installed, like peer guardian or application enhancer?

Got peer guardian installed but had it on before it started this. Took all add ons on fire fox off to see if it was that. Still playing. Up fact that it's also on safari is confusing. What is DNS changer ?

Uninstall PeerGuardian and watch all the problems disappear.

yeah it works for the apple site , but i tryed another and it still wont. , cheers , how comes ?

Did you use the uninstaller and not simply drag to trash?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

We had a client who had a similar problem, but it was his router. We never did get it fixed, but is is a possibility in your case?

Download it again, install it, then use the uninstaller that is packaged with it.

yap done, just used the unistaller prog. thing is i use it with "certain " progs if u catch my drift , any way to kepe it , and set it up correct or anything else that is as good ?

Sorry, have not had the need for such an app. My best suggestion is to go legit and you won't have a need of it any longer either.
