Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and seem to have an issue with my firewire 800 port. Over this past weekend, the port decided to not recognize my Mbox2 pro that was connected to it. I tried doing all the possible troubleshoots and still have had no success. I thought well maybe my port died so I plugged an external HD in and it read it perfectly fine. I completely wiped out my system and started from scratch and it still does not see that my Mbox2 is connected to it. The lights flash showing it is receiving power but it just won't connect. I am at a dead end please help!

Thanks

Jake

I am currently using a iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 10.6.7

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

Are you aware that the MBox 2 Pro is no longer available from Sweetwater? See this LINK. I would try to contact their tech support for assistance. It's possible that it's a hardware problem with the unit. Their PDF manual has trouble shooting and hints - try those first before contacting support.

Thanks for the reply, I bought it 2 years ago when the new Mbox's were not available. I will call them up and ask a few questions about it. When I get some information I will post again.

Thanks

Jake
