Hi
I have some Mac on a Windows 2003 network and a HP LaserJet 2430 dtn printer. For some reason one Mac will no longer print to this printer. It still can print to another of the network printers (an Oki) and another Mac can print to the HP. The other Mac is a Mac Pro running OS X 10.6.6. The one which has a problem printing is a Power Mac running OS X 10.4.11 I can find network printers and I find a number of choices for the HP e.g. using Bonjour or Appletalk etc. I try using what seems the same settings as the working printer but something doesn't work. It sends a print job and they get passed on as completed but nothing come out of the printer. Any ideas what I should do? Regards |

If I understand correctly, the printer is connected by ethernet cable to a router?
You should change to using IP printing > HP Jetdirect protocol, for reliability. all you need is the printer's current IP address. Get that from a power-off-restart of the printer (prints a config page). |
