Hi, I bought my friend's iMac for a reasonably cheap price. It's an Intel based iMac that is currently running Windows 7, but I wanted it to run its original Mac OS. I wanted to know if I needed the original OS X Leopard disk and THEN upgrade to Snow Leopard, or just the Snow Leopard disk.
P.S. My friend lost the Mac OS X disk. |

You can run either.
I would get the original discs by calling Apple on the 800 number (around $20). You'll just have to give them the serial number. As well as that, I would get the retail Snow Leopard ($29) from Apple, Best Buy, Amazon, etc. You could also get the box set for $129 which includes iLife 11 and and iWork 09 Mac Box Set - Apple Store (U.S.) |
