When I got my iMac (2009) and first started using iCal I imported the database from a Windows calendar program.

Now some of the those imported appointments keep recurring, but when I right click on them the "stop recurring" option is greyed out. I don't want the entries any more and it is extremely tedious to remove them one by one.

I need to keep the current file as it is a record of my billable activity.

Any thoughts please?

Brian

Try this:
In Month view, highlight the entry, go to Edit > Delete

Thanks toMACsh, that certainly works, but I have to delete each repeated entry separately, which is tedious. In any month there are about 18 of these events.

I don't think I do. I can set up a "dummy event" that is repeated and refresh my memory with a test, but I think it generates a warning asking you to confirm if it's one event, or all events you want to delete.
