Hi guys,

I was having problems with my 13inch macbook pro (new) so I took it to the Apple store and he said it was a software issue and to create a new partition, give it a name and this will completely restore my macbook to new.
Whenever I go to disk-utility and then 'partition', I can't select anything to create a new one because it's all frozen out. Am I missing something here?
Thanks!

Natalia

Please do not create multiple threads. If you feel a thread is in the wrong forum, you should PM a mod (you can use the ! Icon under your name on the post) and ask that it be moved.

All that does is create even more work.

Thanks

I'm not sure what the Apple guy is suggesting, but to re-partition your MacBook's HDD, you will have to boot from your grey install discs, and use Disc Utility from there.

he wants you to reinstall the OS from the discs. not create a new partition.

do a back up before doing this.
