This is my first post. I'm glad to be hear and very exciting to learn more about Mac SysInternals.

I run Snow Leopard. Do the daemons in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons have priorities? What I mean is that when the computer boots up these daemons get launched. What determines get launched first? Where's the script that launchctl loads them?

Also is there a good resource to learn about Mac SysInternals? Like the main bootup scripts, the shutdown scripts, location of key files. Any great books?

After doing some reading I see now. Launchd was designed to start up your services without the worry of the order by which you start them. Interesting but complex at the same time. Not sure if this was a good move by apple.
QUOTE Thanks
