I'm using (OS X Snow Leopard Ver. 10.6) .. And everything was going good with it until i installed (Windows Vista Home Premium).

After i installed it, I put my Mac DVD in order to get the drivers ready, but it didn't work (The DVD) Windows was unable to read it. I switched back to Mac OS and I tried to open the DVD but it didn't work two.

I deleted (Windows) but that didn't solve the problem. I tried to format it using only windows, I removed all partitions and tried to only install Windows; it didn't too.

Now I don't have any operating system, and (my Mac Mini) is not accepting the DVD !!

What to do please ?

Note: I made another DVD copy when I thought that it's corrupted, but that didn't solve the issue.

Formatting your partitions because drivers wouldn't install seems a little excessive . . . However;

Do you have a friends machine you can test the disc in to see if it's readable?

If you find the disc can be read OK in another machine then it appears as though your DVD drive (superdrive?) may be faulty, so it's an AppleCare call or a trip to the Genius Bar really.

You can install OSX from a flash drive. Have a search around to find a tutorial that suits.

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup
