What is the processor speed. Anything over 833 mhz (I think) can be upgraded to Leopard

But if your iBook is 5 years old...then it should be a faster model...so the 867mhz minimum shouldn't be a problem. And the basis for that statement is...
My guess: you tried it with a gray colored disc. That won't work unless the disc(s) shipped with the same model as yours, or, improbably, with your actual Mac. |

It was a gift so I don't have the original discs. But it's really limited as far as accepting a blackberry device, for instance. And playing you tube vids the sound and film speed don't match up

Don't download as that is piracy and not at all popular here. Go out and buy the Leopard OS X.5 full retail install disc, black coloured.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
