The function keys (fn+f1,f2..etc) used to work but after installing this software, it just suddenly stopped working. Now when I try fn+f1 it just brings up a help window!! How do I fix this??
I'm on bootcamp right now, running windows 7. I've tried changing the fn options on the bootcamp control panel but it didn't work. Do I have to switch to mac and fix the keys from there? =((

EDIT: I JUST REALIZED CTRL+ALT+DELETE DOESN'T WORK EITHER. But ctrl+shift+delete still works
and I remember something else, I accidentally filterkeyed my keyboard and I couldn't type anything anymore so I disabled it all. This happened on the same day the fn keys stopped working.

" .... after installing this software ..... "
What software are you talking about ? A bit more info would be nice !
What about uninstalling " This " software ?

Cheers ... McBie

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem. You understand ?

I installed gimp (photo editing software).. it's not a virus problem is it? =(

edit: fn delete works .. this is really weird,
nevermind it doesn't..

So this means the Fn function for my keyboard is disabled somehow
Anyone know how to enable it back?

Can anyone tell me why I'm having this problem?
ctrl+alt+delete stopped working as well as all my fn functions like brightness/volume. The fn key doesn't seem to work at all and I think 3-key functions do not work as well. I tried changing the sticky/filter keys (unchecking/checking all boxes) It didn't work. D=<

Someone please help, and now my boot camp control panel disappeared.. I think I accidentally deleted it from the process list. How do I get that back on the taskbar?

G'day and welcome to the forums and don't panic!

Gimp software you describe comes in two flavours, Windows and Mac. Any chance you downloaded and installed the wrong software? Have you tried uninstalling the Gimp software, preferably with an uninstaller if provided? It is not a virus problem as there are no Mac OS X viruses.

If all else fails, format the hard drive using the system software install disk and do a clean install of Snow Leopard or whatever you are using. Of course you have an external drive with all your applications, network settings etc saved?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
