hi everyone

not sure if this is the right place for this problem, but here goes.

i have an imac 10.4.11

how can i backup a folder from our network to a dvd via command line?

(in a folder including files there are also fonts now i have tried 4 different burners including apples and the fonts will not burn to dvd, the error i get is-36) and i stops burning)

above is the issue i have... so i thought i will try via command line, can someone pint me in the riht direction please.

Don't know if this will work for you but you could use hdiutil to create a disk image and then burn that to a CD using hdiutil again. I don't have access to a Tiger box so I can't verify whether or not hdiutil is available and if it is, if doing what I just noted is supported.
