strange HD icon appeared

Could someone tell me what the attached icon means?
When I first plugged in my HD (it is Western Digital btw), it was a typical orange HD icon.
Now it's got this strange meter/gage image next to it. I don't know what it means.
Could use your help!

Could be part of the new WD Smartware if this is a Studio with the storage name and size
indicator.

Looks like a HD icon from icon factory. Sure you did not download it and forget?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

no turbo feature, it's a 2TB WB My Book for Mac
brand new, only about 1G on it
and i havent downloaded any icons
i just worried there might be something wrong w the drive? it'd be good to know before backing everything up on it
have you seen this before?

Mac Specs: Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
