Just got a new MBP and upgraded to 10.6.4... Everything transferred over wonderfully...
Except my custom icons for Apple app's like Mail and Safari. My custom icons are gone, and the system won't let me paste any new custom icons within the info windows... Weird that in 25 years I have never add any problems customizing my icons on my Macs until now...?! Anyone know what's up...? |

I recall having problems with Snow Leopard with mail and finder icons.
With most icons its just a matter of pasting in the info window, but with some it is a matter of changing the permissions temporarily at the bottom of the info window. Hope this helps. ie. I can see that my safari info permissions for admin and everyone has read only, so to change the icon, just click the lock, put in your admin password, change those 2 to read and write while you make the change. |
