VisualHub or ffmpegx will do the job for you, and iDVD is not specifically for that no, it does do it, but not easily with the files you want to use. Better to get something like Burn, a free disc burning utility, to do that.
Google will find that software for you

Well maybe, but iDVD is a DVD creation program, for making DVD's with menus etc, it is not a specific burning utility.
