Terminal commands not found!

Hi All,

Just reinstalled Mac OS X to get Xcode Developer Tools on my machine, but after restarting my computer (runs Mac OS X 10.5.8) Terminal can no longer find any of my commands. I suspect that this is a PATH issue and am able to access my .bash_profile file, but cannot figure out how to direct Terminal to the folder where the commands can be found. Help!

This is probably a no brainer, but I've been searching fourums for hours for this precious info, to no avail. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Just curious, why did you reinstall the OS just to get the dev tools (xcode)?
Or am I reading that wrong?
