    Question ( error-1.)
    Please could someone help I did a clean install of Snow Leopard and I'm trying to install the "Applications Install DVD" but I just get the "( error-1.)" as seen in the pic below?

    2012 MBP i7 2.7 GHz 15" Matte - 16 GB RAM - 120 GB Intel SSD - 500 GB DataDoubler Mac OS 10.9
    There are 2 cases I know of that can cause this problem,
    #1 The DVD has a corrupt data segment on it either from a scratch or a burn defect. In either case you may need to get it replaced.
    #2 Your DVD drive is failing, do you have another Mac where you can try and open the installer to see if it's the DVD drive?
