Am I missing a function on my Mac?

I've tried chrome, safari and firefox and whenever i click a link that sends me to installation file it just comes up with a blank page rather than collecting the download?

Dunno what i've done to lose it.

Have you installed a download manager? If so, you probably didn't uninstall it properly. Make sure to use the included uninstaller or visit their website for full uninstallation instructions.

I only ask because problems like this are frequently caused by improperly removed download managers.

I've been through my internet-plugins folder and couldn't see anything and scoped through Chrome (the only remaining browser I have) and still couldn't see anything .

Did you install one? It's possible that files exist beyond the internet plugins folder.

Cheers Vansmith, I went digging and had to re-install Firefox. I was surprised to even see the SpeedDownloader but what was more interesting was that SpeedDownloader didn't attatch to FireFox, it went inside chrome.

Anyway, after disabling all the attatchments, ending the speedownloader process and removing it the restarting the browser the downloads seem to be working perfectly again .

Speed Downloader what atrocious luck and to uninstall it you MUST use the uninstaller.
