I recently purchased my 1st Apple laptop. It is a MacBook 3.1. I have been a windows user my whole life and have my own computer repair business, but just focusing on PC's. I am wanting to learn everything I can about the MAC O/S. Below is a list of items I am looking to learn how to do. Does anyone have any good MAC Forums, Articles and ideas on the below description.

1. Transferring info from PC to MAC.
2. Transferring Info from MAC to MAC (Firewire cable, full back up programs)
3. Networking files, printers b/w PC and MAC, MAC to MAC
4. The best programs, free and paid
5. Transferring info from Office Enterprise from MAC to MAC
6. Does word 2000 in Windows open correctly in Mac Enterprise Word.
7. Transferring Outlook email info from MAC-PC and PC to MAC
8. What are some of the default MAC programs that I should be familiar with.
9. Converting and AVI File so it can be played on a MAC
10. Syncing smart phone's with email programs through Itunes the same on a MAC.
11. Installing/reinstalling MAC OS

Welcome to Mac-Forums.

Allow me to be the first to introduce you to your new BEST FRIEND...

This little guy will allow you to see discussions revolving around the topics you are asking about, with just a few keystrokes. Give it a spin.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

And just a friendly reminder that it's Mac, not MAC.

You could do a lot worse than get hold of a copy of The Missing Manual by David Pogue. Easy to read, a mine of information. Highly recommended.
