Okay I'm new to the Mac and I have tried searching for an answer to this to no avail, so please excuse me if this is really a dumb question.

In the attached file if you look at the top right of my status bar you will see a phone/modem icon. Can someone please tell me what this is? I have no modem in my i7 Macbook Pro that I bought in July of 2010.

Thanks again,
Greg

If you want to get rid of it, simply hold down Command as you drag it off of the menu bar.

Okay Vansmith! Can you make me feel any more stupid? That was WAY to easy.

Thank you so much. It has been bugging me since I got the macbook.

I learn something new almost every day in OSX. Coming from Windows, I can't believe I have waited this long to make this jump to the Mac. The only thing I regret is not doing sooner.

Very Much appreciated!

Greg
