I changed the name of a .mov file and now it won't open saying that it is something that Quicktime doesn't understand. The original name was rather obscure, hence my changing and i don't remember what it was. What can i do to get it back?!

click one it and do Command + I then in the name and extension box just type .mov (or what ever the original extension was) and it should be fine.

Go to Fider Preferences and select advanced. Click show all file extensions. Then try to rename the file.
