To go from Tiger (10.2.xx) to Leopard (10.5) or Snow Leopard (10.6) you have to buy the upgrade. Try Ebay.

Yes...you need to purchase an OS 10.5 install disk...in fact since you have a Macbook Pro...you could upgrade your Macbook Pro's OS to 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Hope this helps,

Buy buy buy as in spend a buck. And many of them as Leopard is over the $100 mark. OS X.6 Snow leopard is much cheaper and a far faster, leaner OS that OS X.5.

I really don't mind buying it at all, I just wish I could buy it as a download and not have to go to a store and purchase an actual disk.. No way around this huh?

No way around it. In case you're not aware, Snow Leopard is sold everywhere Mac computers are sold: Apple store, Best Buy, Fry's, Microcenter, etc.

And if you just really don't want to walk into a store...

There's Apple online, OWC, Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect, MacMall and the list goes on.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
