Internal HD shortcut on desktop

I recently sold my macbook with leopard and upgraded to an imac with snow leopard. On my macbook I was able to put my mac hard drive on my desktop, but I can't seem to find out how to do that with snow leopard. Does anyone know how to?

Finder > preferences....

Dumb that they turned it off by default.
