Volume button sounds...

Just wondering if anybody knows how, and if it is actually even possible to turn off the ascending/descending bleeps when i use my up and down volume buttons on my macbook pro? Google is not turning up any help for me.
I have posted this in the OSX threads as i'm assuming it's common on all macs, if it should be in the notebook threads i do apologise.

I know this may seem like a trivial thing but it just kinda bugs me.

Yes, it can be turned off.

Go to System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects > Uncheck "Player feedback when volume is changed".

Voila!
