Hey guys

So today i decided to be brave and partition my hard drive so that i could run windows and get all those old games back up and running, however things didn't go quite as well as planned..

I managed to partition the drive easily with the help of bootcamp, but after there the problems started. When its running on the OSX side of things it recognises there is a volume called BOOT but it wont let me use it to install anything..

I've tried using the disk utility on the leopard install disk to try and repair the OSX and see if that made a difference but so far no luck. When i boot the mac up and hold the alt key it only comes up with the OSX and not the partition despite it showing up when i'm actually in the OSX side. i looked around the internet for a bit and so far i've had no luck. Bootcamp has also decided to be a pain and when i try and boot it to restore the disk and remove the partition it just says "The startup disk must be formatted as a single mac OS Extended (journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows".

Any assistance on how to restore my mac back to its full capacity hard drive and remove the partitions would be much appreciated

Cheers Guys

Welcome Matt ....
Backup, Backup, Backup, Backup, then a full install of the OS

OR have a read of THIS thread where a member had the same problem. I linked them to a part solution, (not sure if they tried it as they didnt post back) or go and try out what our Mod chscag has suggested ...
Post back though with either more questions OR the solution you used ...

Cheers

Awesome news Matt. Just wish the OP of the other thread would post back with a yay or nay so others could find a solution for a similar problem...

Glad we could help

Cheers
