"You do not have a supported SuperDrive"

Hi all,

My dad has been burning DVDs from iDVD just fine, onto an external DVD drive (the iMac only has CD player/writer and dvd player.)

BUT, he's just started to get the "You do not have a supported SuperDrive" message all of a sudden - any ideas!?!

What is the make/model of the external? Did you do any program upgrades lately?

More info please. What is he trying to burn, and any chance these are DL media? Still using DVD+R media?

Hi guys - he's actually getting the message when he loads iDvd, not when trying to burn. I'm hoping it's just a notification that's reset itself somehow, telling us that the mac doesnt have a superdrive. Which is why we bought the external in the first place!
